“Senda dos Galos” Trail
This route full of nature will take you through the parks of Ponte and Camélias, Galos Fountain and the Ecovia of East River, to one of the most breath-taking spots in the city: Picoto Park and its outstanding viewpoint. Start exploring the fauna and flora of the city of Braga and venture through Picoto, just a 10-minute drive from Moon & Sun Braga.
Forests of the East River Trail
As soon as the East River reaches the end of the city’s urban area, it is possible to observe the river widening its margins into a more natural environment. Make the most of a brighter day, take a 9-minute drive away and discover all the riverside species and birds that will enchant you along the way until you reach Tanque de Cales.
Trail of the Two Mountains
If you want a quieter route, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, the walk should start at the Rodovia Sports Complex, at a 7-minute drive away. From there, you can find traditional places like Nogueiró and Tenões and get to know all the traditional surroundings of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus up until the Monte da Senhora da Consolação.
Great Route of the Serra dos Picos
For the more adventurous, the most challenging path is between Sameiro and Serra dos Picos, the area with the highest average altitude in Braga. From Moon & Sun Braga, take a 20-minute drive along roads surrounded by nature to the Sanctuary of Sameiro and you will quickly be walking among mountain ranges, valleys, and places with a significant heritage value. The route promises tranquility and communion until the Ribeira de Provências Mills.
