Christmas Markets in Porto

The long-awaited Christmas season has begun and with it come the fantastic Christmas markets that fill the city of Porto with light and joy. Do not miss the opportunity to make a shopping list of everything you need for this festivity!

1. Porto Christmas Fair (1st-24th of December)

Right in the heart of the city, just a 12-minute walk from Moon & Sun Porto you can find, in Praça da Batalha, the biggest Christmas fair of Porto. With more than 20 exhibitors, you have access to a wide range of books, clothing, and toys for all ages. Take the opportunity to also listen to several musical shows and participate in all the workshops available throughout this month.

2. Christmas Design Market (1st-19th of December)

This Christmas, the gardens of Palácio de Cristal will host the Christmas Design Market, which promises a new approach to the Christmas atmosphere. In a 15-minute walk from Moon & Sun Porto, you will arrive at the cute stalls filled with sweets, drinks, and souvenirs from the Christmas season. The entrance is free, and the market is open from 11 am to 8 pm every Wednesday to Sunday.

3. Porto Christmas Village (16th-18th of December)

The first covered Christmas market has already arrived at Alfândega do Porto and, with a 17-minute walk from Moon & Sun Porto, you will be dazzled by this Christmas village. The space has an ice rink, a toy factory and virtual reality games, as well as the characteristic Christmas market with souvenirs for all tastes and even a Wine Bar with paid entrance.

4. Artesanatus Market (1st-23rd of December)

The emblematic bubble-shaped market is already on display at Praça D. João I, an 8-minute walk from Moon & Sun Porto. Inside this bubble, you can explore all the handicraft stalls that display the beautiful pieces typical of the time and from the different regions of Portugal, which is ideal for acquiring a small souvenir of Porto's city.
