Activities to enjoy the city of Porto during Spring

1) Enjoy the views of the Douro River

Porto has several amazing spots where you can admire the sunset over the city or just enjoy a drink with friends. Some of the places with the Moon & Sun stamp of approval are Jardim do Morro (a short 12-minute drive from the hotel) and Jardim do Passeio das Virtudes (9-minute walk distance), thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and access to fascinating views of the Douro River.

2) Explore the Botanical Garden

The Porto Botanical Garden has been open to public since 1951 and is one of the most beautiful natural spaces in the city. From Moon & Sun Porto, just a 9-minute driving distance, you can enjoy the various exotic plants and even get to know Casa Anderson, named after the renowned poet Sophia de Mello Breyner Anderson. Currently, this establishment is known as the Biodiversity Gallery of the Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Porto.

3) Walk along the TreeTop Walk (Parque de Serralves)

Serralves Park, a 14-minute drive, is recognized as one of the most popular cultural centers in this northern city. In addition to the Serralves House and the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, the TreeTop Walk provides an impactful walk of immersion in nature, on a walkway raised at the level of the treetops.

4) Visit Casa São Roque

As an art center and one of the most architectural and eclectic spaces in the city, Casa São Roque, since recovered, has become a space where you can contemplate art and beauty, both in each room with furniture and preserved objects reminiscent of the 19th century, as well as century-old camellias that color its gardens during the spring season. Get to know more about this iconic house through a short 10-minute drive.

5) Passear pelos Jardins do Palácio de Cristal

In the city centre, a 14-minute walk away, are the eight hectares of magnificent gardens that characterize the area around the Palácio de Cristal. The panoramic view of the Douro River and the various fountains and statues allow for long and fascinating walks that are conducive to this colorful season of the year.
